NSW Mini Trotting Association held it’s 38th NSW Mini Trotting Association Championships at Paceway Tamworth over the Easter long weekend.
129 horse were nominated to participated in 4 different height divisions
80 different events were held over the 2 day carnival.
NSW Champion in the Midget Division the Maureen Mordue Memorial was Just Jack for Reba Brown from Tamworth Club Lancelot Ella Turnbull 2nd Chuck Norris 3rd Thomas Dixon
Shetland division sponsored by Lucky Lodge saw Rock Star Oreo take out the event for Luke Thirgood from Queensland.
Beau Knows Ella Gillies 2nd Gangnman Style Sophie Ellul 3rd
Mini Pony division which was sponsored by Garrards Horse and Hound was success again for the Tamworth Club with Rylee-Jayde Kiddle winning on Rubys Gem Ophrah Pippa Hogan was 2nd Sir Eric George Lee 3rd
Steve and Jenny Turnbull sponsored Pony Division was taken out by Red Corvette for Ashton Wiggins from Newcastle Maitland Club. Too Good for You Brianna Davis 2nd Velvets Little Star 3rd
Our Champion of Champion event which is the 4 finals winner coming up against each other in handicap conditions Just Jack 600m Rock Star Oreo 766m Ruby’s Gem 900m and Red Corvette 990 m was won by back marker Red Corvette.
Final event of the carnival had 11 of our members participate in the Nic Dewar retiring drivers event.. This is held each year as a tribute to our former member Nic who met with a tragic accident.
